Violinos da Águilha takes place at Seminário Torre d'Águilha in São Domingos de Rana. Lessons are led by Paula Fernandes, with more than 30 years of teaching experience, experience as an instrumentalist, and participation in orchestras and concerts in Portugal and abroad.
You may learn individually or in a group and change format from one month to the next, subject to timetable availability and, for group lessons, an available place.
There are no lessons during school holidays, and those weeks are not charged.

Monthly totals are examples only. The total for each month depends on the number of lessons actually scheduled.
School holidays: there is no lesson and no charge. For a scheduled individual lesson, the student is not charged when at least one week's notice is given. For a scheduled group lesson, an absence is charged because the group lesson continues and the place remains reserved.

The teacher
Paula Fernandes holds a degree in Musicology from FCSH — Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a Higher Diploma in Violin and a General Diploma in Viola. A teacher in specialised artistic music education, she also teaches Violin and Introduction to Orchestra at Escola de Música Nossa Senhora do Cabo.
With more than 30 years of teaching experience, she has also worked as an instrumentalist, participated in several orchestras and performed in Portugal and abroad. She guides students through different stages of learning, and several have later pursued paths in the arts.

Paula Fernandes holds a degree in Musicology from FCSH/UNL, a Higher Diploma in Violin and a General Diploma in Viola, and teaches in specialised artistic music education.
They last 30 minutes, cost €15 per lesson and per student, and operate with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 students. A group opens with at least 2 enrolments and may welcome new students up to 10, subject to availability.
The price is always €1 per minute. The student chooses the preferred duration, subject to availability: for example, 30 minutes cost €30, 45 minutes cost €45 and 60 minutes cost €60. These are examples, not mandatory packages.
You pay only for lessons actually scheduled that month. Four group lessons cost, for example, €60 per student; three lessons cost €45. This is not a fixed monthly fee independent of the calendar.
No. There are no lessons during school holidays, and those weeks are not charged.
The scheduled lesson is charged because it takes place with the other participants and the student's place remains reserved. An individual absence does not qualify for a make-up lesson, discount or refund.
If you cannot attend, give at least one week's notice and the lesson will not be charged. This allows the teacher to reorganise the timetable and make that period available. With less than one week's notice, or in the event of a no-show, the lesson is charged.
Yes. You may change from one month to the next, subject to timetable availability and, for group lessons, an available place.
The individual trial lesson lasts 20 minutes and costs €30.
Yes. Group workshops cost €25, have a maximum of 8 students and will be announced on VoxLaci social media.
You do not need an instrument to start. If you own a violin, you may bring it. Contact us to discuss available options.
Transport from school to Torre d'Águilha may be available between 4:30pm and 5:30pm, with a reference price of €10 per day. See the transport page for details.
