VoxAtma

Atma, or Ātman, is a Sanskrit word that literally means “essence, breath” — the language itself links, at its root, the act of breathing to the innermost self. In Indian philosophy, Ātman names what remains once we strip away the noise around us: essence, the inner self. That's exactly where VoxAtma begins. Breathe. Listen. Sing. For some, this is a first choral experience. For others, it's returning to music after ten, twenty or thirty years. For everyone, it's a space where, for a while, the pace of daily life is left at the door. We work on vocal technique, breathing, repertoire, listening and building a collective sound — but there's another transformation too: the one that happens when a person hears their own voice again.
